Imprimus Forensic Services currently offers two programs in conjunction with the Criminal Justice Institute at the College of Lake County, Illinois.
Evidence Technician's School (2 week school)
This is a comprehensive two week school that teaches the basic skills required for an officer to work in the field as an Evidence Technician.
Instructors of the various modules presented over this two week period, bring with them the perspectives of both the laboratory expert and the experienced crime scene investigator.
The areas covered are wide-ranging and will provide the student with an excellent foundation and understanding of forensic science and its role in criminal investigations.
Crime Scenes in the Classroom is a six-day workshop program for educators who want to use crime scene investigation content material to engage their students in the science curriculum. This hands-on program will help educators understand the tools, techniques and scientific principles of crime scene investigations.
During the course of this workshop, participants will draw on the practical knowledge and abilities of experienced law enforcement officers in order to become familiar with content area material that will captivate the imagination and interest of their students. Participants will have the opportunity to work with various "tools of the trade" and will learn practical exercises that they can immediately take back to the classroom.
